By 1887 you had made Funtom Corporation one of the most famous toy and confection manufacturers in the world, and had the favor of her Majesty Queen Victoria and the utmost respect in high society, despite your age. Your work for the Queen had also made Phantomhive a name to be feared by any with ill intent against crown or country.

That is correct on my end, as well. It seems our timelines are at least consistent up until this point, if nothing else.

Officially, a cause of death was never determined. It was quite the mystery at the time. Given your position, most people assumed foul play of some sort, but there was no real evidence of anything.

Money. Power. Vengeance. The story varies depending on who tells it. When I was a child, my father always made it sound less like a curse and more like a particularly opportunistic guardian angel.

And how do you tell it?

That he saved me when there was no other option left to me, and that my soul is a small price to pay in the end given the opportunity to avenge my parents with what time that bought me.

I suppose we're an easy food supply. Or— maybe by now we're like pets to him. He's never been especially forthcoming about his reasons.

They were killed when I was eight. Some... entity or organization targeted my family with intent to wipe out our entire lineage, and if not for Sebastian, they would have succeeded.

I find it... strange and unnervingly coincidental that our situations are so similar. It seems almost staged.

Each family head has dealt with him, according to you. You then stated that 'if not for Sebastian', they would have succeeded in wiping out your family and that he 'saved' you, but for your own story, your father must have had a deal with him at the time your family was wiped out by an 'entity' (or 'organisation' otherwise, though this seems unlikely at this point) and you were left with S. as your only option to move forward. Elaborate on these things.
