[ Just got done ripping their possessed soul out from their chest and throwing it into a cage to keep it along with the last... somewhere between 20 to 30. They've lost count. ]

I have to wonder if the point of this app is to have us all at each-others throats, perhaps with the eventual end-goal of having us kill each-other for entertainment. Like Super Smash Bros or something.

That would be a good way to gain access to films, shows and books that don't technically exist. Then they can sell it and make a killing. But that seems like a waste of such power.

In my experience, these things are usually done for entertainment's sake alone, rarely for the sake of educational purposes. But I am not immune to bias, so I may be wrong.

Maybe, but I believe even if this isn't necessarily well-intended, it's more likely it's an intelligence operation than intended to kill anyone. I don't know why anyone would kill little ol' me when there are plenty of high-ranking Starfleet officers on board they could just as easily access, and I'm just a counselor. Oh, well, I didn't intend to sound so crass, but you understand what I mean. But I can see how I'm bias, too...

Also a good point, but when people are chosen for slaughter, it's usually with the intent of hurting someone else. Oh, geez, now that you mention it, I've been the Captain's friend for three lifetimes...

Perhaps. Nobody would miss me, that's already been proven. But they would use me as an excuse to commit atrocities, so maybe that's my reason for being here. It's certainly a possibility.
