[ It’s a collection of date night photos Nate had intended to send to Sachiko upon request. There is no accompanying message.
The first was a photo Light had requested their waitress take; they’re sitting on either sides of a booth. They’re both in sweaters, and they’d each intentionally positioned their hands so that their rings are visible in the photo (but they’ll both vehemently deny it’s on purpose).
The second is a photo taken outside the restaurant. A selfie of Light kissing Nate’s cheek — Nate’s face says he feels awkward about stopping for the photo.
The third is a candid shot of a 29-year-old Light Yagami, who is trying to use two forks as chopsticks to eat a mozerella stick to prove a point to Nate that had resulted from a joking debate. ]

Well, he was the first to start singling me out for one-on-one company, I suppose, but he was so deeply closeted that I had to be the first to suggest we do something for the explicit purpose of romantic coupling and call it a 'date'.
We picked our rings out together. We wanted both them to match and both think 'surprising' one another with engagement rings was bound to end badly; it's impossible to coordinate a set that would look nicely together and be something we'd each like, otherwise.

I meant that he was adamant about being heterosexual for a long time, and insisted we were only friends. It took a lot of coaxing, but he is comfortable with it now.
Our wedding bands are plain. Solid gold. Nothing fancy. There isn't much reason for this except that I am Jewish and it is traditional. We chose the engagement rings to match in color and just chose to personal taste, I suppose.
